Blenheim Palace Unveils Special Mother’s Day Celebrations for 2025

Blenheim Palace has announced a special programme of events and dining experiences to celebrate Mother’s Day on Sunday, March 30th, 2025.

The historic Oxfordshire estate, home to the Dukes of Marlborough since 1705 and designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, will offer visitors multiple ways to honour mothers and mother figures with a memorable day out.

The Orangery Restaurant will be the centrepiece of the celebrations, featuring exclusive Mother’s Day menus throughout the day. Morning visitors can select from brunch options including Full Breakfast, Eggs Benedict, Avocado on Sourdough, and Glazed Brioche French Toast.

A special seasonal lunch menu will also be available, showcasing ingredients harvested from the Estate’s own Walled Garden. For those preferring a traditional treat, the palace will serve Afternoon Tea with finger sandwiches, scones, and pastries, with the option to upgrade to include champagne.

Dominic Hare, CEO of Blenheim Palace, said: “Mother’s Day is one of our most popular occasions at Blenheim, and we’ve created a variety of experiences to help visitors create special memories with their loved ones.”

Beyond dining, visitors are encouraged to explore the Palace’s State Rooms and exhibitions that highlight the estate’s 300-year history, including its connection to Sir Winston Churchill who was born there in 1874.

Early spring makes this an ideal time to enjoy the Palace’s Formal Gardens, with the Water Terraces, Rose Garden, and Italian Garden beginning to display seasonal colour. The extensive 2,000-acre parkland, landscaped by ‘Capability’ Brown, offers walking routes suitable for all abilities.

The celebrations come as part of Blenheim’s wider community initiatives across its 12,000-acre estate. Beyond preserving its heritage buildings and collections, the estate focuses on sustainable land management, supporting the local economy, providing affordable homes, and offering apprenticeship training.

Local resident Margaret Williams, who visited during last year’s Mother’s Day celebrations, commented: “It was such a special day. The food was excellent, and walking through the gardens afterward made for a perfect afternoon with my daughter.”

Entry to all Mother’s Day activities is included with standard admission, though dining reservations are strongly recommended due to expected high demand.

Blenheim Palace continues to be one of Britain’s most significant historic houses, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors annually to its extensive cultural programme and special events.
