Iconic Kent amusement park announces the return of beloved Log Flume and concerts featuring Tom Jones, The Libertines, and The Sex Pistols
Dreamland Margate, one of Britain’s most treasured seaside attractions, has unveiled plans for a spectacular 2025 season that will mark two significant milestones: 105 years since the park was first named Dreamland and a decade since its celebrated reopening following extensive restoration.
The historic amusement park, which continues a remarkable 145-year tradition of entertainment on Margate’s seafront, will welcome visitors daily throughout the Easter holidays (April 5-21) before operating weekends and school holidays until its full summer season begins.
Headlining the new attractions is the much-anticipated return of the classic Log Flume ride, which was last featured in the park in 2016. Set to open in early summer, the water attraction will join Dreamland’s impressive collection of family rides including the towering Big Wheel, swinging Pirate Ship, vintage Dodgems and the popular Rock ‘N’ Roller coaster.
For the 2025 season, Dreamland is introducing new all-day wristband options to enhance visitor experience. The Mega ride wristband, priced at £24.99, offers unlimited access to all attractions, while the Tiny Tots wristband at £12.99 covers selected smaller rides for younger visitors. Individual ride tokens remain available at £3 each, with a bundle of 20 tokens offered at £40.
Technology will play a bigger role in the park’s offerings with the introduction of Free Roam VR Games in the Roller Room. These immersive experiences, ideal for friends and families, will be priced at £15 per person with a minimum of two participants required.
Dreamland’s entertainment options extend beyond rides, with the retro Roller Disco continuing to draw crowds alongside arcade games and amusements. Food and drink will be provided by acclaimed street food specialists KERB in partnership with LevyUK & Ireland, ensuring quality refreshments throughout the venue.
The 2025 music program represents one of Dreamland’s most ambitious lineups to date, featuring international stars across multiple genres. Headline acts include drum and bass pioneers Pendulum performing live, new wave legends Squeeze, electronic dance duo Basement Jaxx, indie rockers Supergrass and The Libertines, Scottish pop-rock band Texas, The Who’s Roger Daltrey, and punk icons The Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter.
Returning by popular demand are previous sellout performers including Sir Tom Jones, Madness, Olly Murs, and McFly, reinforcing Dreamland’s growing reputation as one of the UK’s premier outdoor concert venues.
Eddie Kemsley, CEO of Dreamland, commented on the upcoming season: “What a jam packed season we’ve got planned for 2025 – which is only fitting for our 105th Birthday and 10yr anniversary of reopening! We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to enjoy the season with us, from incredible music events to traditional seaside fun with rides, food, ice cream and seagulls – it’s going to be great!”
The announcement reflects Dreamland’s successful revitalization as a key attraction in Margate’s ongoing renaissance. After facing multiple threats of permanent closure, the park was saved through community activism and substantial investment, reopening in 2015 to become a centerpiece of the town’s cultural and tourism offering.
Dreamland’s 2025 program represents a balance between nostalgia for traditional seaside entertainment and contemporary attractions designed to appeal to modern visitors, continuing the park’s evolution while honoring its historic significance on the British coastline.
