Rising boxing star Bradley Goldsmith joined celebrations at Hotel Indigo Coventry as the boutique hotel marked its first anniversary with the launch of a burger named in his honor. The undefeated local fighter, currently 12-0 with 8 knockouts, sampled “The Knockout Burger” at the hotel’s February 6 celebration.
The event showcased the success of both the hotel and its Cogs Bar & Kitchen restaurant, which have quickly become landmarks in Coventry’s hospitality scene since opening in January 2024. The £multi-million development has exceeded expectations in its first year, achieving elite status in IHG’s guest satisfaction rankings with scores over 90.
“The demand for luxury accommodation in Coventry has been remarkable,” notes General Manager Michael Lyons. “We were fully booked within our first week of opening, and that momentum has continued throughout the year.”
The hotel’s commitment to local heritage is evident throughout the property, from its automotive-themed decor to its new menu. Alongside Goldsmith’s “Knockout Burger,” guests can choose from seven other luxury options, including the locally-inspired “Lady Godiva Burger.”
This dedication to local culture extends beyond the menu. The hotel lobby features a Healey by Caton vehicle and a Penny Farthing bicycle on loan from Coventry Transport Museum, celebrating the city’s rich transportation history.

The property’s success has caught the attention of regional tourism authorities, with the hotel named as a finalist for the New Tourism Business Award at the upcoming West Midlands Tourism Awards 2025.
Cogs Bar & Kitchen has established itself as a destination in its own right, offering everything from breakfast to evening fine dining, with special events including monthly steak nights featuring live music. The restaurant has announced plans to launch a Bottomless Brunch Menu in the coming weeks.
The hotel has also responded to changing travel trends by introducing a comprehensive dog-friendly package, offering four-legged guests premium amenities for £25 per night.
As Hotel Indigo Coventry enters its second year, its blend of luxury accommodation and local culture continues to attract both business and leisure travelers to the city center, contributing to Coventry’s growing reputation as a destination for upscale hospitality.
