Stunning Outdoor Show To Return This Summer in County Durham For Platinum Jubilee Weekend

Kynren – An Epic Tale of England returns to its spectacular Bishop Auckland stage this summer, with six Saturday performances from 6th August to 10th September.

To mark the momentous Queen’s Platinum Jubilee there will be an additional performance taking place on Friday, 3rd June.

Kynren offers enthralling live summer entertainment which delivers thrills, shocks, tears, laughs, goosebumps and gasps on a truly cinematic scale.

Prepare to be transported back in time as 2000 years of history is brought to life with the award-winning blockbuster open-air performance. Now with more dates available, there has never been a better time to experience this must-see show.

From Boudicca’s battles with the Romans to two world wars, via Vikings, Tudors, Stuarts, Queen Victoria and the Industrial Revolution, Kynren is a spellbinding, family-friendly experience.

Audiences watch from the 8,000-seater tribune which provides panoramic views across the giant outdoor stage. Join young Arthur on his epic quest, with rebellions, wars, magic, majesty, celebration and heartache in a dazzling outdoor-theatre spectacular.

Gates open two and a half hours before the start of each show throughout the summer, allowing visitors the opportunity to arrive early for food and drink in one of the dining areas, whilst enjoying live jazz by the lake.
