Cars from the Ford of Britain Heritage Collection join displays at the British Motor Museum!

Starting from 2 February, the British Motor Museum will be showcasing a selection of seven vehicles from the Ford of Britain Heritage Collection. These vintage cars will be joining the already existing Ford vehicles on display at the Museum. Visitors will also have the opportunity to admire a 1973 Ford Capri Ferguson 4×4, which is on loan from a private collector.

The Ford of Britain Heritage Collection consists of approximately 130 cars, which are usually not accessible to the general public. However, the Museum has been fortunate to secure the loan of some of the most remarkable cars from the collection, including a 1961 Ford Zodiac Mk II, a 1979 Ford Granada Mk II, a 1986 Ford RS200, a 1988 Ford Fiesta Mk II XR2, a 1992 Ford Sierra Sapphire Cosworth 4×4, a 1993 Ford Escort Mk V Cosworth WRC, and a 2004 Ford Focus ST170.

The new exhibit will be displayed at the Museum’s Welcome Gallery and admission to view the additional seven cars from the Ford of Britain Heritage Collection is included in the normal Museum entry fee. The Museum team is enthusiastic about the collaboration with the Ford of Britain Heritage Collection and hopes to expand the number of vehicles on loan and change the displays frequently to bring more of this exceptional collection to the public.

Len Keen, Operations Manager at Ford of Britain Heritage Collection, expressed his excitement about working with the British Motor Museum and showcasing some of the iconic vehicles from their history. Stephen Laing, Head of Collections and Engagement at the British Motor Museum, stated that they are delighted to have the opportunity to showcase some of the incredible collection of Ford vehicles.
