Blenheim Palace is hosting a royally entertaining Bank Holiday weekend of events to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee (2nd-5th June).
Now in its eighth year the Blenheim Palace Food Festival returns to the Oxfordshire UNESCO World Heritage Site with a special jubilee theme.
Running from 2nd-5th June it’s a festival for food lovers, family and friends and this year’s event features chef royalty in the shape of Raymond Blanc OBE, alongside Italian legend Gennaro Contaldo and Great British Bake Off’s Karen Wright.
Visit the Jubilee Garden and enjoy some quintessentially British treats or a tipple or two whilst being serenaded by vintage vocal trio, The Lollipops, and the rousing tunes of brass quartet Acoustic Jass.
The event is bursting with delicious produce from a wide variety of local and national stallholders. Alongside artisan treats and homemade delights, there’ll be craft beers, cocktails and mocktails.
There’ll be exciting activities for all the family including Twistina the amazing balloon modelling lady, gastronaut Stefan Gates’ ‘Mindblowing Food & Science Show’, a beautiful picnic area and great entertainment throughout the weekend.
Giffords Circus is a magical village green circus that tours England from the first days of spring to the first glimpse of winter. It’s stopping off in the majestic setting of Blenheim’s ancient parkland from 2nd-6th June.
Full of skill, humour, turmoil and excitement, the 2022 show evokes the sights and sounds of rural Mexico with incredible art, music, history, and people as the inspiration.
On Thursday, 2nd June Blenheim will be joining communities across the country to light a beacon to mark the Queen’s Jubilee. As part of the celebrations an avenue of 70 trees is also being planted in the grounds.
Visitors to the Palace will be able to follow a Jubilee Trail and see the dress worn by Lady Rosemary Spencer-Churchill who was one of the Queen’s Maids of Honour at her 1953 Coronation.
Entry to the Food Festival is included with Palace, Park and Gardens tickets. Donate the cost of your full Palace, Park and Gardens ticket to convert it to an Annual Pass. Entrance is free for Annual Pass holders with no need to book; simply show your valid pass on arrival.
Giffords Circus is a separate ticketed event with prices from £20 for adults and £10 for children.
As part of its 10 Goals, Blenheim is committed to achieving annual paying visitor numbers in excess of 750,000 and to treble its economic contribution to the local area.
