Silverstone Museum has launched a double summer promotion giving children free entry and free meals throughout the school holidays, as the famous Northamptonshire circuit looks to attract the next generation of motorsport enthusiasts.

The offer, which runs until 31 August 2026, is available to all children aged 15 or under when accompanied by a full-paying adult. It comes in the wake of the 2026 British Grand Prix, one of the most celebrated fixtures on the Formula 1 calendar, which takes place each summer at the adjacent Silverstone circuit.

What’s on at Silverstone Museum

Situated within the grounds of the world-famous Silverstone circuit, the museum houses an extensive collection of vehicles and memorabilia charting the history of British motor racing. Visitors can view Nigel Mansell’s championship-winning Williams FW14B, Jenson Button’s title-clinching Brawn BGP 001, Lando Norris’ 2019 McLaren MCL34, and Valentino Rossi’s championship-winning Aprilia RS125, among many other exhibits.

New for 2026 is Black Cats & Chequered Flags, a multiplayer immersive experience combining Mixed Reality and Virtual Reality technology that tells the story of Alberto Ascari, the Italian driver who became the first back-to-back Formula 1 World Champion in 1952 and 1953. The museum also features a 25-metre two-lane Scalextric track modelled on the Silverstone circuit, as well as an exhibition on the circuit’s wartime origins as an RAF Bomber Command training base — a chapter of history that gave the venue its name and shaped its distinctive layout.
