Castlebridge Hospitality Raises Nearly £3,000 for Cancer Research at Annual Awards Evening

Castlebridge Hospitality has raised nearly £3,000 for Cancer Research UK in a single evening, following a fundraising push at the company’s annual awards night earlier this year. The hotel group has reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to Hospitality Beats Cancer, an initiative that unites businesses across the UK’s hospitality sector in support of cancer research and awareness.

The fundraising effort reflects a cause that carries significant personal weight within the organisation. Colleagues across both hotel teams and central support functions have been directly affected by cancer — whether as survivors themselves or through the experiences of loved ones — and those shared experiences have galvanised a strong sense of collective purpose within the business.

A Sector-Wide Fight Against Cancer

Hospitality Beats Cancer was established to harness the size and community spirit of the UK’s hospitality industry in the broader fight against the disease. The initiative raises funds on behalf of Cancer Research UK, the world’s largest independent cancer research charity, which uses donations to fund scientific research, influence health policy, and provide information to patients and the public. By directing its fundraising efforts through this channel, Castlebridge Hospitality is helping to ensure that money raised at events such as its awards evening translates into tangible progress against one of the UK’s leading causes of death.

The annual awards evening itself served as the centrepiece of this year’s fundraising, with colleagues from across the Castlebridge portfolio coming together to donate. Samantha Criddle and Claire Cullen, Business Development Managers from Hospitality Beats Cancer, attended the event to present on behalf of the initiative.

Personal Impact Drives Commitment

Managing Director Craig Patterson said the cause resonated deeply across the company.

A writer who loves all things British.
